WIth summer now here, we would like to remind restaurants and cafes to strongly consider using temperature loggers in their fridges, freezers, and vehicles.
Temperature loggers provide the following benefits:
1. Proof that you have kept potentially hazardous foods at the correct temperatures.
2. Automated proof so your staff aren’t tied up each day recording temperatures.
3. Reliable automated proof because a temperature logger records what the temperature is, not what your staff want you to believe. This is critical when staff are at fault (e.g. when leaving doors open, or failing to write down the temperatures for a couple of days).
4. Detailed information for if anything ever goes wrong. You know when it started to go wrong, for how long, and how extreme it became. This is critical for knowing when food must be disposed of.
